Students of Bohra Public School celebrated Krishna Janmashtami, an annual commemoration of birth of the Hindu deity Krishna, the eighth avatar of Vishnu, in the school campus on August 17, 2022.

Students of Primary wing were beautifully dressed up as Krishna and Radha. Images of Krishna’s infancy were placed in a cradle. The school was well decorated for the celebration and aarti and bhajans were recited and songs related to Janmashtami were played. A puja was performed by the staff and children of the school. Fragrance of flowers, soothing aroma of burning camphor and jingle of the bells filled the air. Prasad was distributed to all children after the puja.The highlight of the celebration was a Concert Dance, depicting Lord Krishna’s journey from his birth till his narration of Geeta Saar was performed by the students in Special Assembly. A Dance Party was also organised for the students of Primary wing for enjoyment.

The School Principal, Mr. Rohan Khanna, while addressing the kids spoke about the importance of Krishna Janmashtami for Hindus and various aspects of Krishna’s youthful days, the dahihandi celebration and his playful and mischievous side. He said that the holy occasion brought people together and signified unity and faith.
