• The school is having owned buses and school bus is available for students from Nursery to Class XII.
  • Bus fee is to be paid for eleven and a half months.
  • Students are not permitted to add new stops for their convenience without seeking permission from the Principal. Parents are requested to note that the bus routes are fixed after careful planning and no routes can be changed or extended to suit individual needs.

TRANSPORT RULES AND SAFETY MEASURES

  • Students must reach the bus stop at least a few minutes before the time scheduled for the arrival of the school bus.
  • Students should always stay away from the main road while waiting for the school bus. Always use zebra crossings while crossing roads.
  • Students should not board or alight from the bus until the bus has come to a complete halt.
  • Students should board the bus in proper queue
  • Students should remain seated and not move around when the bus is in motion.
  • Students should not lean out of the window or stick their limbs out.
  • Students should occupy vacant seats immediately after boarding the school bus.
  • Older students should look after the younger ones by offering them their seats.
  • The front door is in the only authorised entrance and exit and only the conductor is authorized to open the door.
  • When the bus is in motion students must not move around in the bus and no part of their body should be outside the bus.
  • Objects of any kind must not be discarded inside or thrown out of the bus.
  • Students will be held responsible for any damage to buses caused by negligence or vandalism.
  • No student is allowed to eat in the bus.
  • Discarding of trash or food either inside or outside buses is not permitted.
  • Each bus has a lady peon in-charge for that route.
  • Indiscipline or unruly behaviour on the part of the students causes inconvenience to the driver, conductor and fellow students using the school bus. The unruly students will not be permitted to continue using the school bus, if they fail to follow Rules and Regulations
  • The bus teachers are responsible for maintaining discipline in the buses. Any serious offence must be reported to the Principal.
  • There shall be no standing on the foot board.
  • Parents will take prior written permission from the school if they do not want the child to travel back by bus on a particular day.
  • The bus service provided by the school is an extended facility for the parents. To the best of our ability we take all care to provide a good service and adhere to the timings. However, the school is in no way responsible for the bus coming late or early and injury or accidents caused to the child or any other unforeseen mishap.
  • The buses will ply on the routes and stops as indicated and no request for change will be entertained. The parents are at liberty to discontinue the bus service (by giving due notice) if they are not satisfied with the school transport system.
  • One calendar month’s notice is required before a child can discontinue the use of school transport failing which one month’s transport charges will have to be paid in lieu of one month’s notice. Withdrawal request from Parents regarding bus use is not allowed from 1st January to 31st March of that academic year.
  • Parents are advised to take utmost care when they hire the services of private vans/auto rickshaws on their own. The school management does not take responsibility of any kind of such private operators.

DISCIPLINARY NORMS IN THE SCHOOL BUS

  1. All students using the school bus are expected to be on the left side of the school bus at their designated bus stops at least ten minutes before the arrival time of the bus. The buses will not wait for the latecomers. During the dropping time due to safety concerns, students will not be dropped unescorted, instead, he/ she would be taken back to school and the parent would have to pick the student from the school.
  2. The availability of school transport to the learners is subject to adherence to disciplinary norms. Any misbehavior that distracts the driver is a serious violation and could harm someone. Therefore, learners are required:

a.  to remain seated while the bus is in motion.
b.  to obey the instructions of the Bus Driver/ ln-charge.
c.  not to throw objects in or out of the bus.
d.  not to use indecent language in the bus with fellow pupils or the bus staff.
e.  not to damage the seats, curtains, etc. in the bus.
f.   not to fight or threaten other students in the bus.
g.  to abstain from any unruly behavior in the bus.

If any student is reported for any of the above violations, the school will take the following actions:

FIRST OFFENCE:- Warning and report to the parents.
SECOND OFFENCE:- Call the parents and suspend the learner’s traveling on the bus for one week.
THIRD OFFENCE:- School Bus facility shall be withdrawn with a fine.
